Workforce Development Specialist (Trainer)

JOB OVERVIEW:
Jumpstart VIEW, a division of See Her Evolve, LLC, is launching an innovative workforce
initiative designed to help individuals strengthen the skills needed for long-term
employment success.
We are seeking an experienced Workforce Development Specialist (Trainer) with proven expertise in developing curriculum and delivering engaging virtual workforce training. This part-time opportunity is ideal for Social Services, Human Services, or other Workforce Professionals committed to helping Virginia residents achieve career success.
DUTIES:
- Develop and write comprehensive workforce development curriculum for adult learners.
- Facilitate engaging virtual training sessions using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or comparable platforms.
- Create lesson plans, presentations, participant materials, learning activities, assessments, and other instructional resources.
- Apply adult-learning principles and instructional design strategies to support effective learning outcomes.
- Manage training preparation, delivery, participant engagement, and evaluation.
- Maintain case management records, program reporting, and outcome tracking.
- Market program to workforce agencies and community-based organizations.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with social services agencies and other stakeholders.
- Complete additional program-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in workforce development, employment and training, human services or social services, career counseling, adult education, or a closely related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SignDoc.
- Proven experience developing and writing curricula for employment programs.
- Experience creating lesson plans, presentations, participant materials, learning activities, assessments, and other instructional resources.
- Experience developing and maintaining partnerships with agencies, employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, and technology skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet established deadlines in a remote environment.
- Must be a Virginia resident and available to attend occasional in-person meetings in Richmond.
- Experience with social services programs and employment training is highly preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 15 hours per week
Work Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings in Richmond, Virginia
Compensation: Based on experience
