About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational efficiency of our facility. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will contribute significantly to our team's success.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, utilizing schematics and testing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, and conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Modify, lubricate, and operate equipment according to established procedures, contributing to the longevity and reliability of our assets.
- Maintain and improve industrial control systems to enhance automation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to execute repairs safely and efficiently, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Document all repairs accurately, including work order completion and material usage, to maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
- Adhere to all plant safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and machine operation, to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance-related field.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across departments.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Proficiency in using shop equipment, including presses, grinders, and power tools.
- Must have own toolbox and basic tools.
- 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
- Familiarity with technologies such as variable frequency drives (VFD), servo drives, and rotary equipment.
- Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques, including cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
- Proficiency in repairing variable frequency drives, servo motors, and communication systems.
