Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and health education to diverse patient populations across all ages. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across a broad spectrum of specialties such as internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and emergency care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR)eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
- Perform minor in-office procedures including suturing, injections, debridements, etc
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Provide health coaching, patient education on disease management, preventive care strategies, and medication administration.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in the State of Mississippi.
- Demonstrated experience working in primary care settings with diverse populations; experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is highly valued.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as E-clinicalworks
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and pharmacology.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures including suturing, IV infusion/insertion, venipuncture, and sterile technique.
- DOT certification is a plus
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on health management strategies.
