Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to support the hotel's sales efforts and drive revenue growth, coordinating group business, managing sales administration, maintaining client relationships, and assisting the hotel leadership team in achieving occupancy and revenue goals.
The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, proactive, and capable of building strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, sports teams, government agencies, healthcare organizations, and local businesses.
Duties
- Support the hotel leadership team in achieving revenue and occupancy goals.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries, leads, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Generate and qualify leads for corporate, government, group, sports, and extended-stay business.
- Conduct sales calls, site tours, and client presentations when needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, hospitals, universities, contractors, and organizations.
- Participate in networking events, chamber meetings, and community outreach activities.
- Assist in identifying new market opportunities and business segments.
- Prepare contracts, proposals, group agreements, and banquet/event documentation.
- Manage lead tracking systems and maintain accurate records in Marriott sales platforms.
- Process rooming lists, group blocks, and reservation requests.
- Maintain organized client files and sales documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and groups.
- Coordinate guest room blocks and special requests.
- Ensure smooth communication between sales, front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments.
- Follow up with clients before, during, and after their stay to ensure satisfaction.
- Resolve client concerns professionally and promptly.
- Assist with social media initiatives and local marketing campaigns.
- Support promotional activities and hotel events.
- Maintain hotel marketing materials and sales collateral.
- Assist in coordinating special promotions and seasonal offers.
- Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards and company policies.
- Ensure all contracts and agreements meet company requirements.
- Protect confidential client and company information.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in hotel sales, hospitality, customer service, administrative support, or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with hotel property management systems and Marriott sales tools.
- Knowledge of group sales, corporate accounts, and extended-stay business.
- Experience using CI/TY, MGS, GXP, or similar hospitality systems.
- Local market knowledge of Dayton, Beavercreek, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, healthcare, and corporate business sectors.
