Join our vibrant team as a Hair Stylist/Barber for a kid salon, where your passion for helping children will shine in this dynamic role, you’ll deliver hair cutting, and hair styling services for kids and at times their parents.
Responsibilities
- Provide hair cutting services including cutting, styling for each client’s preferences.
- Perform barbering services such as straight razor shaves and precision fades with attention to detail.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations and salon protocols.
- Utilize salon software like Shortcut to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction.
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their desired look and provide professional recommendations.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing wait times, and ensuring a smooth salon flow.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber.
- Experience and patience working with children of all ages
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as Shortcut for appointment booking and client management, or desire to learn and be trained to use the software Shortcut
- Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Store management experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the salon environment.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
