This is a fast-paced restaurant environment where every team member plays an important role. You'll need to think quickly, communicate effectively, stay organized, and always be ready to help both guests and teammates.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for every shift in a clean, professional uniform
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout your shift
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Present menus, answer questions, and help guests choose food and beverages
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and drinks while ensuring excellent customer service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues with a positive attitude
- Process payments accurately and make proper change when needed
- Coordinate takeout and delivery orders
- Work closely with fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff
- Follow all Cap't Loui operating procedures, sanitation standards, and employee policies
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly while complying with all state regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Cash handling experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support others
- Able to stay calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy
- Attention to cleanliness, food safety, and organization
- Ability to anticipate guests' needs and provide exceptional hospitality
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and frequently bend, reach, walk, and stand throughout the shift
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to serve alcohol and meet all applicable state requirements
