Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. A commitment to safety and professionalism is essential.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring all items are secured properly during transit.
- Navigate routes effectively, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with clients upon delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Proven ability in route driving and navigating local areas efficiently.
- Skills in loading and unloading freight safely and effectively.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
