Skechers USA's Information Technology group is looking for a Sr IT Project Manager for Infrastructure & Operations to fill a position overseeing technology projects within the Information Technology group. This person will be responsible for all aspects of project management across the infrastructure and operations project portfolio, including, to some degree, retail store technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure consistency with Skechers USA technology standards and processes, driving the delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise and store-level infrastructure solutions that support Skechers' global retail footprint.
Standard project management utilizing best practices for on-time, on-schedule, and on-budget delivery. The candidate will execute project management methodology and operational execution while partnering with the Information Technology team. Duties include:

Developing the project plan, which includes staffing, responsibilities, and scheduling

Partnering with the I&O and Retail Technology teams to define team member roles and expectations, and ensuring timely feedback

Ensuring that project resources are used effectively across both corporate and store-level initiatives

Creation and management of project plans, risk mitigation plans, communication plans, resource requirements, project costs, and all other project management-related documentation

Development and/or review of estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and past experience

Performing day-to-day management of all phases of the project including requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment — including new store openings, store refreshes, and store technology rollouts

Working with the I&O domain leadership to prioritize the portfolio of project efforts and to maintain a comprehensive view of the portfolios to support strategic and tactical decision making

Coordinating all project activities with business owners/stakeholders and other support, technical infrastructure, and application teams

Communicating frequently with executive leadership to provide project risk analysis, status updates, and analysis of requirements that might impact strategic direction

Collaborating closely with network, systems, cloud, security, store operations, and field technology teams to identify and document detailed requirements, process flows, and technical dependencies

Managing infrastructure projects related to in-store network connectivity, POS hardware lifecycle, store Wi-Fi, loss prevention systems, digital signage, and other store-based technologies

Reviewing and managing all changes to the requirements through a formally defined scope change process

Measuring and monitoring progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets or exceeds expectations

Balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk across a high-volume, multi-location retail environment

Supporting store opening and closure processes from an infrastructure and technology readiness perspective

Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
The successful candidate will be both self-motivated and collaborative as is necessary to operate in the realm of enterprise technology projects, interacting with team members and vendors to resolve issues quickly.
Experience with the unique infrastructure and operational needs of a retail environment, including store network infrastructure, in-store technology deployments, and corporate data center operations
Experience with retail store technologies such as Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware connectivity, in-store Wi-Fi and networking and loss prevention systems
Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies such as AWS, VMware, Enterprise networking vendors, SD-WAN, Active Directory, and endpoint management solutions in a multi-site retail context
Familiarity with new store opening (NSO) processes and the coordination of infrastructure readiness across construction, facilities, and IT teams
Experience with IT service management frameworks and tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and IT operations processes including incident, change, and problem management
Proven ability to execute high-profile, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and retail technology projects and to provide thought leadership to the organization
Demonstrated excellence in communications (verbal and written), presentation, financial management, analytical, and customer-focused skills
Experience managing projects with teams both on and/or offshore, including field-based and third-party installation teams
Proven track record working with both technical and functional teams, including store operations and retail field teams
Able to document and communicate progress against plans, taking corrective action as necessary
Able to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards
Expertise in managing vendor relationships - including telecom providers, hardware vendors, and field service partners - and negotiating changes to commitments and requirements
Experience with formal SDLC, ITIL, and infrastructure delivery methodologies in a retail context
Ability to work well with technical and non-technical resources
Able to take strategic direction from management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout the lifetime of the project
Has a "can-do" attitude and is able to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience also accepted.
Master's Degree preferred
The preferred candidate will have 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager, with at least 10 years of overall work experience desired; experience in a retail or multi-site environment strongly preferred
In-depth experience with Microsoft Project, Atlassian, Smartsheet (or other project management tools such as Clarity or ServiceNow PPM)
In-depth experience with Agile and hybrid methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall)
PMP certification required
ITIL Foundation certification preferred
CSM certification preferred
The pay range for this position is $100,000-$150,000/yr USD.
