Bae Veterinary Services LLC dba The Peaceable Kingdom Animal Hospital located in Ephrata, PA is looking for a part-time receptionist to join our team! You would be the welcoming face of our compassionate animal care facility. In this energetic role, you will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from check-in to check-out. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help facilitate seamless communication between clients, veterinary staff, and pet caregivers. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations.
- Collect medical histories and update client records accurately, adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Handle medical collections efficiently, including processing payments and explaining billing procedures clearly.
- Create an end of day sales report and deposit report.
- Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing client communications.
- Support veterinary team members with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry tasks as needed.
- Assist with stocking the treatment area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including filing documents and updating client information.
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is highly preferred, especially with veterinary administrative support, but not required as long as you have an open mind to learn professional terminology and protocols!
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; experience with dog handling and animal restraint is desirable.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and correspondence.
- Knowledge of drug enforcement regulations (DEA), USDA regulations, and aseptic techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a part-time capacity while maintaining a lively, positive attitude that energizes the team.

Preference will be given to an individual who can accommodate the following hours with the opportunity to work additional hours on an as-needed basis:
Mondays: 10AM - 6PM
Thursdays: 2PM - 6PM
Fridays: 10AM - 6PM
Pay dependent on experience.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
