Education: Certified NP in the State of Pennsylvania with 2 years relevant clinical experience in a medical setting. Previous experience with behavioral health patients highly preferred.
Experience: Two years clinical experience, preferably working with behavioral health patients.
Licensure/Certification: Certified as a NP by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center.
Knowledge: Must possess relevant clinical knowledge of the medical and psychiatric needs of all age groups, including age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior management, and CPR training.
Supervision Received: Supervising Physician

Line of Promotion: Clinical to Administrative Duties
Environmental Conditions: Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit unpredictable and impulsive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, and other hazardous waste. The CRNP works in a behavioral health hospital environment
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
