We are seeking an experienced advanced practice clinician to provide remote overnight cross‑coverage support for adult hospitalized patients across Little Company of Mary Hospital. This per diem tele hospitalist role involves managing cross‑coverage pages, addressing acute clinical needs, entering orders, and collaborating with onsite teams to ensure safe, high‑quality overnight care.
Ideal candidates are confident practicing independently, comfortable with high‑volume overnight workflows, and experienced in inpatient hospital medicine.
Responsibilities-
Provide remote overnight cross‑coverage for adult inpatients

Manage acute issues (pain, blood pressure changes, glucose management, electrolytes, respiratory status, etc.)

Triage and prioritize multiple clinical requests

Order labs, imaging, and medications as needed

Communicate with nurses and onsite physicians for escalations

Document all encounters in the EHR
Requirements-
Licensed NP or PA with national certification (ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, or PA‑C)

2 to 3 years recent inpatient hospitalist or acute‑care experience, including nights

Prior remote/tele hospitalist or cross‑coverage experience preferred

Strong autonomous decision‑making skills

Experience with EHR systems and telemedicine

Secure remote workspace with high‑speed internet

Licensed in IL with IL DEA
Competitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $80 to $85 hourly.
