Position Summary:
The Food Service Supervisor assists the Director in overseeing the Nutrition Services Department. Provides leadership to the GlenFields homemakers in nutrition, food preparation and service. Provides knowledge and skills to the homemaker staff assuring the households have the needed resources to be successful. Responsible for staff education and scheduling for the entire Nutrition Services team.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Servsafe certification required.
- Current credentialed Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred.
- Knowledge of food service industry required; 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Windows-based computer systems including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Prior knowledge of online scheduling software preferred.
- Ideal candidate works collaboratively in a team to support improvement initiatives, has a strong focus on customer service, and demonstrates superb communication skills.
- Ability to serve as a leader/mentor, role model, and motivator within the department.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range.
Hourly Range:
$21.87-$32.80
