What You Will Do
· Safely climb, prune and remove trees on residential, commercial and estate properties
· Operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, chainsaws, chippers and related tree-care equipment
· Perform technical climbing, rigging and controlled removals
· Work effectively with cranes, equipment operators and ground crews
· Prune trees using proper arboricultural practices, including rope-and-saddle climbing without spikes when pruning
· Evaluate jobsite hazards and participate in daily safety planning
· Inspect and properly maintain climbing gear, tools, trucks and equipment
· Communicate clearly with the crew leader, ground team, clients and company management
· Help maintain an organized, productive and professional jobsite
· Take ownership of safety, quality, productivity and customer care
What We Are Looking For
· At least four years of professional tree-climbing experience
· Strong rope-and-saddle climbing ability
· Experience operating an aerial lift or bucket truck
· Experience with technical rigging and crane-assisted removals
· Ability to safely operate chainsaws and tree-care equipment
· Strong understanding of proper pruning and removal techniques
· Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
· Reliable transportation to our Far Hills facility
· Ability to work safely and productively as part of a professional crew
· Willingness to communicate, lead when needed and support the entire team
Preferred Qualifications
· Crew-leader or foreman experience
· Class A or Class B CDL
· ISA or TCIA credentials
· Aerial-rescue and advanced-rigging training
· Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
· Snow-plowing or storm-response experience
This is a safety-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon meeting Peters-Todd's driving, safety and substance-screening requirements.
