Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Street Sweeper Operator to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining clean, safe, and visually appealing public spaces. In this role, you will operate specialized street sweeping equipment to efficiently clear debris, litter, and dirt from city streets, highways, and other paved surfaces. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing community safety, environmental health, and overall urban aesthetics. Responsibilities
- This is a night position. If you don't want to work nights, DO NOT APPLY.
- CDL preferred, but CDL is not required initially; however, it will become a requirement.
- Operate street sweeping machinery safely and efficiently across designated routes, ensuring thorough cleaning of streets and highways.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after shifts to ensure optimal functioning and promptly report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with maintenance tasks such as shop and yard maintenance when required..
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or surrounding infrastructure as needed.
- Identify maintenance issues with equipment and the truck, and manage preventative maintenance to keep equipment top-notch.
- Maintain detailed logs of routes completed, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during shifts.
- Drug test will be enforced and checked regularly as most jobs are regulated by Municipalities or the State of TX
Skills
- Mechanical skills to assist with maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience driving heavy equipment or large trucks.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance or construction tasks.
- including operating heavy machinery like excavators or similar equipment is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for record-keeping related to maintenance activities.
- MUST BE DEPENDABLE, SHOW UP WHEN SCHEDULED TO WORK AND HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO GET TO WORK. Tardiness, frequent call-outs, and no-shows will not be tolerated.
- ENGLISH as primary language or be able to speak english and read english proficent is a must.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
