As an Elementary Assistant Teacher, you will collaborate closely with the lead teacher to implement engaging lessons, support classroom management, and encourage students as they develop academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We are seeking an individual who has a heart for children, a passion for Christian education, and a desire to model Christ's love through service, encouragement, and daily interactions.
Assistant Teacher Roles & Responsibilities
· Demonstrates Christ-like character by building positive, caring relationships with students, helping each child feel valued, respected, loved, and supported as a unique creation of God.
· Supports the classroom teacher in providing high-quality, grade-level instruction by reinforcing lessons, facilitating small-group and individual instruction, and utilizing supplemental resources and appropriate interventions to meet students' learning needs.
· Assists in monitoring student progress through observation and assessment data, communicates student needs with the classroom teacher, and helps implement differentiated and scaffolded instruction to promote academic growth and success for all students.
· Supports students with diverse learning needs, abilities, interests, and readiness levels by implementing accommodations and instructional strategies as directed.
· Collaborates respectfully with teachers, administrators, specialists, support staff, and families to foster student growth academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
· Encourages students to demonstrate biblical values such as kindness, honesty, responsibility, respect, perseverance, and compassion in their daily interactions and learning.
· Supports the integration of a biblical worldview throughout classroom activities, reinforcing Christian values and participating in prayer, Bible instruction, chapel, and other faith-based school activities as appropriate.
Professional Responsibilities
· Models Christian character and professionalism by treating students, families, colleagues, and visitors with grace, respect, integrity, and humility.
· Maintains confidentiality regarding student and family information while exercising wisdom and discretion.
· Adheres to school policies, attendance expectations, and professional standards.
· Assists with classroom organization, preparation of instructional materials, student supervision, and maintaining a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered learning environment.
· Supports the mission and philosophy of the school by serving faithfully, encouraging students in both their academic and spiritual development, and contributing positively to the school community.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration in support of the school's educational and ministry mission.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
