About the Role:
The Student Housing Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of student housing communities to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming living environment for residents. This role involves coordinating leasing activities, managing tenant relations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant housing regulations and policies. The manager will lead maintenance and repair efforts, collaborate with vendors, and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue. Additionally, the position requires fostering a positive community atmosphere that supports student success and satisfaction. Ultimately, the Student Housing Property Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the property’s reputation and financial performance within the real estate and rental industry.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field.

At least 5-7 years of experience in property management, preferably in student housing

Strong knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with landlord-tenant laws and housing regulations applicable in the United States.

Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Property Manager (CPM) or similar professional designation.

Experience managing properties near college or university campuses.

Proficiency in additional property management platforms such as Yardi or AppFolio.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of property operations including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and resident services.

Develop and implement marketing and leasing strategies to attract and retain student tenants.

Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff and external contractors to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of the property.

Handle tenant inquiries, resolve conflicts, and enforce lease agreements and community policies.

Prepare and manage property budgets, financial reports, and occupancy forecasts.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing laws and safety regulations.
