The successful candidate will foster skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive athletic experience while helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court. The coach will work collaboratively with the Athletic Director, fellow coaches, families, and school staff to support the mission and values of BFA Fairfax.Responsibilities include: Planning and conducting practices and gamesTeaching basketball fundamentals and sportsmanshipCreating a positive, inclusive team culturePromoting student-athlete growth, effort, and characterFollowing school, district, and VPA policies and proceduresMaintaining effective communication with athletes, families, and the Athletic DirectorPrevious coaching or playing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be able to meet all district and VPA coaching requirements, including background checks and required certifications.
