Industrial Hygienist/Safety Specialist

Compensation: $62,400 - $83,200
We are looking for an Industrial Hygienist/Safety Specialist to join our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ES&H project management and coordination
- Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and surveys, including:
- Asbestos inspections and sampling
- Indoor air quality assessments
- Water quality sampling
- Support environmental and food safety inspections at client sites
- Collect, document, and manage environmental and IH data accurately
- Assist in preparation of technical reports, summaries, and findings
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) regulations
- Maintain and calibrate field equipment and sampling tools
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Health & Safety
- Industrial Hygiene
- Or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Internship or academic exposure to:
- Environmental fieldwork or inspections
- Industrial hygiene or sampling
Familiarity with:
- OSHA regulations
- MDE requirements and environmental compliance standards
- Asbestos, air, or water sampling methodologies
- Experience with environmental monitoring equipment (preferred but not required)
Skills and Attributes
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in field environments (industrial, construction, and food processing facilities)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel locally throughout Maryland and the DMV region
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform fieldwork in varying environmental conditions
