Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of various animal handling techniques. This role involves providing exceptional care for pets in a kennel environment, ensuring their safety and well-being while also maintaining cleanliness and organization within the facility. This will be 4-9pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns.
- Support pet owners with customer service inquiries regarding their pets’ care and well-being.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning large areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in kennel settings or animal care facilities is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the day.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
