The ideal Family Nurse Practitioner candidate will have psychiatric nursing experience in acute care, detox, SUD Treatment and/or mental health facilities. You must possess strong assessment and organizational skills, be able to prioritize care and communicate with the medical and clinical teams. You must be able to establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families, be a good listener, have good observation skills, and have nursing skills sufficient to provide the best care possible.
Shifts: Part Time, Saturday & Sunday up to 8 hours a day
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Holds a current unrestricted license as an ARNP, FNP, Licensed Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of MA and maintains current licensure per state requirements.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting preferred; preferably in an inpatient, partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting and/or meets educational requirements.
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
- Valid and Current CPR
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform varied physical assistance to include bed care & transfers
Job Duties:
- Provides routine psychiatric care under the supervision of the Medical Director/ Director of Nursing
- Thoroughly documents in patient chart, specifically Psychiatric Assessments and Notes, in a detailed and timely manner in accordance with facilities standards.
- Takes verbal orders from the Medical Director, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
- Administers medications.
- Work under as directed by Clinical Director / Director of Nursing.
- Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility.
- Be a Team Player.
Pay: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour
