THE ROLE
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Cosmetology Educator to lead our Core 1 program at our Rockford campus. In this role, you'll guide students through foundational cosmetology education, creating an engaging and motivating classroom environment while upholding our commitment to excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and manage day-to-day Core 1 classroom operations
- Deliver hands-on demonstrations of all services taught
- Create study guides, lesson plans, and interactive educational tools
- Conduct daily attendance and maintain accurate grades and records
- Counsel students on academic progress and attendance with positive, constructive feedback
- Foster teamwork, motivation, and a positive learning culture
- Serve as a professional role model and champion of exceptional customer service
- Ensure consistent, policy-compliant curriculum delivery
- Maintain classroom sanitation standards
- Attend teacher meetings and ongoing training sessions
- Communicate regularly with the Campus Director
- Assist with special events and projects as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Active Illinois Cosmetology Instructor License (required)
- 1+ year of experience as a licensed salon stylist (preferred)
- 1+ year of teaching or classroom experience (preferred)
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
- A passion for mentoring and developing students
