Purpose of Job for the Warehouse/Delivery Driver
Interstate Batteries is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse/Delivery Driver to join our team. Position will be Monday-Friday, no weekends and will include some overtime. Primary responsibilities will be, but are not limited to: provide a well-stocked, organized warehouse, and assist Route Drivers with unload and load. Answer phones, wait on customers, and complete hot shots/deliveries to our dealers.
Job Components of the Warehouse/Delivery Driver
- Load and unload batteries off of route trucks
- Restock batteries in the warehouse
- Charge, clean, and date rotations and warranties
- Process junks (spent batteries) on a daily basis
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment, scrub floors on a weekly basis
- Run the Hot Shots/Deliveries on a timely basis as needed
- Perform other duties and tasks that will be assigned or on the daily checklist
Qualifications of the Warehouse/Delivery Driver
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (drivers abstract required)
- Pre-employment drug screening required
- Uses frequent independent judgment when making decisions
- Be able to work and complete tasks independently
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
Compensation/Benefits for the Warehouse/Driver
- $18.00 - $20.00 / Hour (DOE)
