The Country Club of Virginia is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager & Administrative Support team member to help lead the successful daily execution of fine dining dinner service while providing essential administrative and project support for the Food & Beverage operation. This position plays an important role in strengthening service consistency, supporting team performance, and delivering exceptional member and guest experiences through visible floor leadership, effective coaching, and clear communication.
The ideal candidate is a polished, hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys working directly with service teams, collaborating with Food & Beverage leadership, and contributing to the smooth operation of a fast-paced private club environment.
- Provide visible leadership during dinner service, ensuring service standards are consistently met and member needs are anticipated and addressed

Partner with the Outlet Manager and Food & Beverage leadership team to support departmental priorities and promote operational consistency across outlets

Design floor plans, plan dining room setup, manage reservations, greet and seat members and guests, and support smooth daily service execution

Lead pre-meal meetings by communicating house counts, menu updates, special member requests, service priorities, and other relevant information

Serve as a liaison between dining room and kitchen staff to support timely communication and seamless service

Coach, train, and support dining room employees to promote accountability, polished service, and strong team performance
- Monitor dining room appearance, cleanliness, safety, equipment, side work, and closing procedures to ensure club standards are maintained

Address and resolve service concerns professionally and recommend improvements to procedures, layout, and overall operational effectiveness

Support POS operations, daily closeout procedures, tip distribution requirements, employee hour reporting, and end-of-month inventory

Ensure local and state laws, as well as club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service, are consistently followed
- Manage the weekly Food & Beverage manager schedule and maintain the daily Food & Beverage report spreadsheet

Organize Food & Beverage submissions for Club Columns and support departmental communication needs

Assist the Assistant Food & Beverage Director with MIT and intern onboarding, internship coordination, and J-1 liaison responsibilities

Support special events and banquet administrative needs as assigned

Manage onboarding checklists for new hires and assist with departmental meeting preparation or follow-up as needed

Coordinate office supplies, printers, Relay radios, and other administrative resources

Complete other appropriate assignments and projects as directed by the Food & Beverage Director
- Minimum of one year of leadership or supervisory experience required

This position works approximately 40–50 hours per week. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Flexibility is required to support Food & Beverage coverage, club events, programming, and member service priorities.
