Qualifications and Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug & background check
- Effective communication skills
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience operating GPS equipment, total station, ALTA Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, As-Built Surveys, and Construction Staking, Oil & Gas
- Two years of field surveying experience required. Willing to promote Instrument Men with appropriate knowledge/experience, but are primarily looking for an experienced Party Chief.
- Willing and eager to learn
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur
- Some travel may be required
- Must have on truck to survey out of, but compensated for truck and mileage daily.
- Maintain a respectable work attire
- Must be able bodied and prepared to traverse rough terrain.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Arrive to work on time each day.
- Lead a 2-man or 3-man crew .
- Coordinate/prioritize project to completion in an efficient and timely manner.
- Maintain, stock, equipment and supplies each day.
- Cut/clear brush and tree foliage for line of site when necessary.
- Operate survey equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
- Carry out instruction and tasks assigned by Survey Manager.
- Utilize safe work methods.
- Maintain a sense of urgency, strive to exceed expectations, and keep a positive and friendly attitude with co-workers, clients, and the public.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
