Job Summary
Scope: Provide aid to AAA members' disabled vehicles in designated member service areas using battery and light service equipment within established guidelines and procedures. Represent MAK Service as a professional battery service technician in all assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Perform battery services to members and/or designated customers. Initiate light services in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform emergency road service and minor emergency repairs for members and designated customers.
- Load good and unload old (recycled) batteries, verifies counts, performs basic visual inspection
- Use of mobile devices such as phone, tablet and battery tester
- Complete daily reports
- Accept cash, checks and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures for services rendered. Complete and issue invoices to record these transactions.
- Maintains clean work area and follows all safety procedures
- Tools, equipment and parts inventory kept organized and in order
- Communicate and present MAK Service in a professional, positive, quality-service oriented manner to all members, potential members, agency officials and the general public.
- Must be able to work on weekends and/or holidays
Responsibilities and Duties
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Jumps starts
- Remove old and install new car batteries
- Fuel deliveries
- Tire changes
- Air in tire
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Extended periods of driving
- Frequent lifting of up to 80 pounds
- Use of specialized tools to perform the job
- Occasional exposure to external weather conditions
- Position is outdoors and in a service vehicle
- Bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
Qualifications and Skills
Education, Training & Skills Required:
- Diploma or GED
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
- Good reading and writing skills
- Excellent customer communication skills
