Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and community-focused professional to join our team as the APEX Accelerator Program Manager.
The Program Manager will manage and administer the APEX Accelerator program throughout the Northern Tier region which includes Bradford, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming counties of Pennsylvania.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one counseling to businesses interested in pursuing government contracting opportunities.
- Assist clients with:
- SAM.gov registration and renewals
- Small business certifications (WOSB, SDVOSB/VOSB, HUBZone, etc.)
- Bid matching and opportunity identification
- Federal, state, and local procurement processes
- Conduct outreach through workshops, presentations, networking events, and business visits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local agencies, procurement officials, and economic development partners.
- Prepare required reports and maintain accurate client records.
- Support grant development and other regional economic development initiatives as assigned.
- Represent NTRPDC at meetings, conferences, and community events.
- Travel throughout the five-county Northern Tier region as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, economics, communications, marketing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and common business software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with economic development, business consulting, government contracting, procurement, grant administration, or public administration.
- Familiarity with federal and state government contracting.
- Experience delivering presentations or facilitating workshops.
- CRM or database management experience.
- Grant writing or grant management experience.
Desired Skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, elected officials, and community stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Ability to learn complex regulations and explain them in a practical, easy-to-understand manner.
