Job description:
· Work with Engineering to develop “Build Books” for the assembly of new assemblies and machines
· Investigate assembly issues and develop immediate fix and long-term fix to prevent reworks and complexity
· Support Engineering with the incorporation of redlines into machine models
· Work with Assembly Lead to develop detailed work instructions for new machines and assemblies, work cell layouts, production tooling and Jigs, assembly sequences, rework plans, new processes and procedures for assembly
· Support new machine design reviews to ensure that all designs are “assembly friendly”
· Develop machine crating and liftings plans
· Support machine proof out and installations as needed
· Support facilities layouts and upgrades
· Develop Operations Manuals for all new and modified machines
· Provide technical support to customers for machine-based issues
· Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.
· Work with assembly lead to improve efficiencies, maintain high safety focus and standards
· Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
· Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
· Work with Buyer to establish part standards, alternatives, reduce costs and leadtimes
Education and Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the manufacturing environment.
- Experience and ability to work in a small company environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Practical application of engineering principles, techniques, procedures and processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines and tools.
- Working knowledge of geometric tolerances and dimensioning.
- Ability to follow and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work well in a diverse and team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
