ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain truck, barge and vessel freight bill processing

Create truck, railcar, barge and vessel freight documentation

Schedule claims, tracing and billing

Track fuel surcharge
-
Set up new carrier forms
-
Report to fleet
-
File both electronic and physical paperwork
-
Aid with maintaining logistics planning tasks.

Track shipments across multiple channels
-
Performs other tasks, duties or assignments as may be assigned by manager from time to time.

Analyzes markets and identifies changes within the freight industry to optimize lane capacity, margins.

Market opportunities for the company.

Negotiates pricing with carriers.
-
Responsible for carrier development to broker more efficient loads.
-
Works collaboratively with billing team to address concerns to ensure proper customer invoicing.

Communicates effectively with internal departments regarding capacity and back-haul coverage.

Manages and monitors multiple systems to ensure adequate supply of capacity, on-time performance and problem resolution challenges are addressed and communicated timely.

Assesses customer and carrier performance and provides feedback to management team.

Continuously improves service levels through ongoing recommendations for process improvements.
