We are currently seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Service Electrician to join our field team.
About the Role
As a Service Electrician, you will operate a company service vehicle to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install electrical systems for our residential and commercial clients. You will interact directly with customers daily, providing clear explanations of electrical issues and presenting honest, accurate solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems, including panels, breakers, lighting, switches, outlets, and smart home devices.
- Must provide accurate electrical quote and invoice projects upon completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by cleanly, politely, and transparently communicating diagnostic findings and upfront pricing options.
- Small projects under $20,000 - May supervise small crew.
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked, and clean company service vehicle.
- Complete digital work orders, accurately logging parts used and hours worked.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company safety policies.Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License preferred (or equivalent documented field experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential or commercial electrical service and troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces (crawlspaces, attics).
