Job Summary
PINI Health Club is seeking a professional, compassionate, and licensed Massage Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic massage services in a safe, clean, and relaxing environment. The Licensed Massage Therapist will assess client needs, recommend appropriate massage techniques, deliver personalized treatments, and support each client’s wellness goals while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client care. This is not a relaxation spa role. Our members come in with real goals - reducing soreness, improving mobility, accelerating recovery, managing stress load from high-performance lives. They expect clinical depth, not just technique. You will deliver customized massage sessions across multiple modalities, conduct pre-session assessments, build individualized treatment plans tied to member outcomes, and document all sessions per Florida Board standards. You will educate members on recovery strategies between sessions and contribute to a professional, performance-forward gym environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Consult with clients before each session to understand their medical history, areas of discomfort, stress level, preferences, and wellness goals.
· Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate massage modalities, pressure levels, session focus areas, and follow-up care.
· Perform professional massage treatments, which may include Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, trigger point, hot stone, or other approved modalities based on training and client needs. · Maintain client comfort and safety throughout each session, adjusting techniques based on feedback and observed responses.
· Provide guidance on stretching, relaxation techniques, posture awareness, and general wellness practices within the therapist’s scope of practice.
· Document client intake information, treatment notes, progress, preferences, and follow-up recommendations accurately and confidentially.
· Prepare, clean, sanitize, and restock treatment rooms, equipment, linens, oils, lotions, and supplies before and after each appointment.
· Follow all applicable state licensing requirements, health and safety standards, sanitation protocols, and professional ethics guidelines.
· Promote positive client experience by communicating clearly, maintaining professional boundaries, and delivering respectful, client-centered care.
· Collaborate with front desk staff, managers, healthcare providers, or wellness team members as appropriate to support scheduling, client service, and continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
· Current and valid Massage Therapist license or certification required by the state of Florida.
· Completion of an accredited massage therapy program or equivalent state-approved training.
· Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, massage techniques, and professional standards of care.
· Ability to maintain accurate client records and protect client confidentiality.
· Strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding bodywork safely and consistently.
· Professional appearance, punctuality, reliability, and commitment to ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, chiropractic office, physical therapy clinic, resort, or private practice setting.
· Training or certification in specialty modalities such as prenatal massage, sports massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, or hot stone massage.
· CPR and First Aid certification, if required by the employer or state regulations.
· Experience with scheduling software, point-of-sale systems, or electronic client records.
· Ability to recommend appropriate service plans, upgrades, or wellness packages in a client-centered and ethical manner.

Work Environment and Schedule
This role will be performed at a fitness facility. Schedules may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs and client demand. Full-time, part-time, contract, or commission-based arrangements may be available.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand, bend, reach, and use hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, and upper body for extended periods.
· Ability to perform multiple massage sessions per shift while maintaining safe body mechanics.
· Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull supplies, linens, equipment, and massage-related materials as needed.
· Ability to maintain a calm, professional presence in a client-facing wellness environment.
