Summary:
A local Madison manufacturer is seeking a temporary Operator Trainee to support Rotary equipment operations on 2nd shift. This role is a temporary opportunity with no anticipated end date at this time. The employee will help set up, operate, monitor, and tear down Rotary equipment while using measuring tools and following training procedures.
Pay: $18.00 per hour plus a $0.75 per hour 2nd shift differential, for a total of $18.75 per hour.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The employee may need to train on 1st shift for the first few weeks if available and would still receive the 2nd shift differential during training.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and tear down Rotary manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor equipment during production to support safe and efficient operation.
- Use rulers and measuring tools, such as calipers, to check work as needed.
- Follow training instructions and workplace procedures.
- Support production needs in a temporary Operator Trainee role.
Qualifications:
- Experience setting up, operating, and tearing down manufacturing equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude, such as experience working on cars, machinery, building projects, or similar hands-on work.
- Ability to read a ruler and use measuring tools such as calipers.
- Ability to read and understand English for training purposes.
- Print finishing experience is a plus but not required.
