This role is ideal for someone who values respectful interactions, encourages independence, and enjoys building meaningful relationships with young children.
Position Summary
The After Care Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging afternoon experience for preschool children following the Montessori school day. This position supports children through transitions, outdoor play, enrichment activities, and quiet afternoon routines.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise and engage children during after care hours
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities and experiences
Foster a calm, respectful, and positive classroom environment
Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff
Encourage independence, kindness, and social development
Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
Qualifications:
✔ Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
✔ Montessori experience or interest is a plus
✔ Warm, patient, and dependable personality
✔ Ability to create engaging experiences in a mixed-paced environment
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
2:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m.
