The Food Program Assistant will focus on the Club’s snack program including the purchase, packaging, and delivery and inventory of food items. Assists in ensuring that the food items meet Club and state requirements. Responsible for exemplifying excellent customer service and the BGCWD core values, culture, policy and procedures at all times. This position will be working at our administrative offices but also be required to transport food to the different site locations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Communicate with Food Program Coordinator and Operations Director on a regular basis.
● Maintain an inventory system for the snack program
● Manage the Club snack program through preparation of all food items which includes organization, attention to detail, and management of the inventory.
● Help to maintain record of inventory levels to provide accurate information for the ordering of food ahead of time.
● Have the ability to analyze and adjust inventory and buying requirements in sync with overall production levels, inventory strategy, and the Club planning process.
● Respond effectively to the internal communication needed with staff via email and phone.
● Produce and analyze reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
● Create menus on a regular basis as needed.
● Handle the purchasing of foods when necessary
