Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain and logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse distribution processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across procurement, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. Your expertise in data analytics, warehouse management systems, and supply chain management will drive efficiency and accuracy in inventory control. Duties
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock levels, replenishment, and cycle counts
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in stock movements and implement corrective actions
- Utilize data mining and analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to analyze supply chain performance and forecast demand accurately
- Collaborate with procurement teams on sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations to optimize pricing and terms
- Manage warehouse distribution activities including materials handling, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and 3PL coordination
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing logistics workflows and implementing best practices for materials management
- Use forklift certification skills for heavy lifting tasks within the warehouse environment while ensuring safety protocols are followed
Experience
- Proven experience in inventory control with a strong understanding of logistics processes
- Demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis skills for demand planning, stock optimization, and supply chain analytics
- Experience with category management, merchandising strategies, and retail management environments is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial modeling, pricing analysis, and root cause investigations
- Excellent communication skills for supplier management negotiations and cross-functional collaboration
