About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Care Aide to provide in-home support to clients including elderly adults and individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life for all clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility and transfers (using proper safety techniques or equipment)
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping and ensure a clean, safe home environment
- Monitor clients’ conditions and report any changes to the care team
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or community outings
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with elderly adults and/or individuals with developmental disabilities
- HCA registered
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification (required)
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for caregiving
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if required for the role)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or behavioral support plans
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment or mobility aids
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
