We are delighted to welcome you to Joy Park Montessori Education (JPME)! At JPME, we believe that every child is unique and has the potential to learn and grow in their own way. We are a year-round English-Chinese bilingual Montessori school located at Northwest Austin, serving children ages 15 months-6 yrs. We are currently looking for qualified Montessori Toddler Assistant Teachers. It is also a great starting point for teachers who is eager to learn Montessori method, but not certified yet to experience Montessori environment. Our team of experienced and dedicated educators are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and development. We believe that strong relationships between parents, teachers, and students are the foundation for success, and we are hiring a Montessori assistant teacher to join our great team!

Job Type: Full-time, 8:30-5:30, M-F, year-round position; Part-time, 8:30-1:00, M-F, 2:00-5:30, M-F
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist to guide and present Montessori activities to students
- Help to prepare Montessori materials
- Create and maintain a warm, loving, welcoming, pleasing and accepting environment
- Focus on the developmental needs of the students
- Supervise students at all times
- Be responsible for changing student diapers if needed
- Model positive behavior and show respect for students and families
- Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties such as wiping and cleaning tables and shelves, sweeping the classroom when necessary, and monitoring children's cubbies
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Willing to learn Montessori practices and philosophy
- Have a warm and engaging personality and ability to relate to children
- Be able to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse staff members
- Be able to maintain professionalism at work
- Can lift up to 50 lbs
- Can be on feet for most time of a day
- Fingerprinting Clearance
- CPR/First Aid Present
- BA or equivalent (preferred)
Preferred:
- Montessori Certified (AMI, AMS, or MACTE accredited) preferred
- Previous Montessori classroom experience
- Speaking Mandarin Chinese preferred
