This Warehouse Supervisor position will be located in our Bloomfield, CT location. This position will ensure inventory is accounted for in a safe and efficient manner. This will include establishing and maintaining workflow processes as necessary to meet delivery/pick-up goals as well as performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the implementation of our Bloomfield CT warehouse operations, including logistics, scheduling systems, delivery, transportation, loading dock activity, security, warehouse temperature control, pest control, emergency action plans, and closing procedures.
- Directs the activities involved in the efficient movement of product including accurate receipt, storage, distribution, maximizing space, resources, and avoiding waste or damages.
- Establishes effective procedures and controls for the safe and efficient movement and preservation of product; monitors adherence to established procedures to ensure safety and sanitation measures are followed
- Ensures an accurate inventory of products at all times through a maintained inventory control system.
- Directly accountable for the successful implementation, assessment, and transition of all new operational initiatives.
- Develops, documents, and executes standard operating procedures for Bloomfield and its delivery operations
- Serves as primary liaison with auditors for assigned branches
- Ensures equipment and facilities are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to reduce waste and manage repair needs.
- Oversees preventative maintenance for warehouse vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
- Suggests replacement schedule for facility systems, equipment, and warehouse vehicles.
Qualifications
- Five Plus (5+) years of warehouse experience
- Experience with Scanning customer assets
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- MS Office Skills, specifically Excel
- Knowledge of Wireless Telecommunication materials is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet
- Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work. Will be required to operate vehicle for Company business. Work is primarily performed in and out of an office environment
- Environmental Conditions exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and loud noise
