Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking pharmaceuticals.
- Process prescriptions and verify patient information for accuracy.
- Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medication usage and side effects.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals.
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician License in Colorado is required.
- Experience in a hospital or acute care environment is highly desirable.
- Experience in sterile compounding highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with critical care protocols and medication administration procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and safety standards.
- Ability to handle inhalation medications and other specialized pharmaceuticals.
