Job Summary
TruBlue of Culpeper is hiring a skilled Carpenter for residential repair and remodeling work in the Culpeper, Virginia area. The work includes carpentry, drywall repair, trim, light framing, bathroom updates, fascia repair, and general home improvement projects.
Most work is performed in customers’ homes, so we need someone who can work independently, communicate clearly, protect the home, and leave behind clean, quality work.
Pay: $30 - $37 per hour, based on experience.
Duties
Perform residential carpentry, repair, and remodeling work
Complete drywall repair and finishing, including patching, prep, and touch-up work
Install and repair trim, including baseboards, casing, and other finish carpentry
Perform light framing, wood repairs, and general carpentry repairs
Assist with bathroom remodeling and other residential improvement projects
Repair or replace fascia boards and other exterior wood components as needed
Perform interior painting related to carpentry, drywall, and repair work
Install, repair, or adjust common residential items such as doors, windows, cabinets, trim, and fixtures when included in the project
Use hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment safely and effectively
Keep the work area clean and protect the customer’s home while working
Communicate professionally with homeowners and the TruBlue team
Skills
Experience as a Carpenter, Finish Carpenter, Trim Carpenter, Remodeler, or similar residential trades role
Strong hands-on experience with residential carpentry, drywall, remodeling, and general repair work
Ability to perform drywall repair and finishing as part of regular project work
Skilled in trim carpentry, light framing, wood repair, and finish work
Comfortable working independently in occupied homes
Able to troubleshoot common repair and remodeling issues in the field
Knowledge of common residential construction methods, materials, tools, and safety practices
Able to use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, finished work
Professional communication skills and respect for customers’ homes
Requirements
Must have reliable transportation to job sites in the Culpeper, Virginia area
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be physically able to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and perform hands-on trade work throughout the day
