Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our dynamic retail team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and ensure an outstanding customer experience. Your leadership will drive sales, manage inventory, and foster a positive work environment that aligns with our core values of growth and great operations.
Responsibilities
- Support store management in overseeing daily retail operations, including sales, inventory control, and merchandising.
- Lead and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and efficient store performance.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation to build a strong retail team.
- Manage payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, pricing strategies, and loss prevention efforts.
- Coordinate shift management, scheduling, and training & development initiatives for staff.
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions and monitor retail math to meet sales targets.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with supervisory or assistant manager roles.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent managerial communication abilities.
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
- Expertise in recruiting, training, and developing retail teams with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, POS systems, and operational procedures.
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately while maintaining compliance with store policies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in grocery or retail store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative atmosphere.
