Responsibilities
- Facilitate group sessions focused on personal development, recovery, and support for individuals facing various challenges.
- Develop and implement engaging group activities that cater to the specific needs of participants.
- Maintain a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages open communication and trust among group members.
- Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to enhance their growth and development.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care plans for participants, ensuring comprehensive support.
- Document session notes and participant progress in compliance with organizational policies.
- Stay informed about best practices in group facilitation and therapeutic techniques relevant to addiction counseling and direct support.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in addiction counseling or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
