Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods into our facility. This position involves receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records. The Receiver will work closely with various departments to ensure that all products are accounted for and stored properly.
Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all items match purchase orders.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and update records accordingly.
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of all items.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing products for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all received goods are stored in designated areas.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accurate inventory management.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce operations is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory tracking.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving, order picking, or warehouse management is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
