Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Toddler or Primary Teacher who can confidently lead a classroom, guide assistants, and provide a structured and nurturing learning environment.
This position is ideal for educators who are organized, professional, and passionate about early childhood development.
Qualifications
- Montessori certification preferred but not required
- CDA credential accepted
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field highly welcomed
- Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Professional communication with parents and staff
- Positive, patient, and team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities/Classroom Leadership
- Prepare and maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum
- Provide daily instruction and meaningful learning activities
- Maintain student progress records and documentation
- Ensure materials and classroom setup are complete and in good condition
Team Supervision
- Lead and support assistant teachers
- Provide direction and clear expectations for classroom team members
- Maintain a positive and professional classroom culture
Family Communication
- Build respectful and open relationships with parents
- Provide regular updates on student progress
- Conduct parent conferences as needed
School Support
- Uphold Mariner Montessori standards and policies
- Collaborate with campus leadership
- Contribute to a culture of professionalism and growth
