Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational efficiency of our facility on a part-time basis, working approximately 25 hours per week. Duties
- Manage daily operations of the facility’s maintenance activities, including HVAC, electrical systems, low and high voltage equipment, and industrial machinery
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Oversee the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and optimize maintenance workflows
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure system integrity
- Coordinate with project teams on facility upgrades or modifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and asset management for continuous improvement
Skills
- Strong management skills with experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of facilities management practices including HVAC systems, electrical wiring (low voltage/high voltage), mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with schematics, technical diagrams, and control systems related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling and tracking maintenance work
- Excellent project management abilities to oversee upgrades or repairs from planning through execution
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently
- Leadership qualities to motivate team members while maintaining safety standards and operational excellence in a fast-paced setting
- Fluency in English with clear communication skills for reporting and collaboration
