We are currently seeking an experienced leadership professional to join our Compliance Department as the Director of Incident Management. The Director of Incident Management oversees the organization's entire incident management process from initial reporting to final closure. This role works closely with program operations to ensure strict adherence to internal policies and state regulatory requirements. As the primary point person for incident compliance, you will manage regulatory databases, chair review committees, and lead agency-wide training initiatives.
Specifically, you will:
- Manage the full incident lifecycle, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and closure.
- Act as the primary contact for NYS Justice Center; ensure compliance with IMU guidelines.
- Chair the Incident Review Committee (IRC) and participate in the Human Rights (HRC) and Fire Safety committees.
- Review all internal investigations, provide constructive revisions, and conduct compliance/HIPAA audits.
- Operate/maintain internal compliance tools, spreadsheets, and the IRMA application.
- Develop/facilitate classroom and 1:1 training on Abuse/Neglect, Jonathan's Law, and emergency preparedness.
- Prepare Annual Trend Reports to identify risks, mitigate ongoing issues, and improve program quality.
- Maintain the agency’s Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) in coordination with governmental agencies.
- Remain on-call 24/7 to provide guidance on critical, urgent incidents and investigations.

We require:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Only those with OPWDD experience need apply
- Deep, practical knowledge of OPWDD regulations, specifically Part 624 (Reportable Incidents) and Part 625.
- Certified Investigator (OPWDD/Justice Center) essential.
- Proficiency in IRMA, WSIR, RIA, DQIA, and MS Office 365 (Excel, Access).
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills to present to executive leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations and work cross-functionally.
