Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks across international borders, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Navigate using GPS systems to plan efficient routes for delivery and pickup schedules, ensuring timely arrivals at destination.
- Ensuring cargo safety and security during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance records, delivery documentation, and compliance with all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery updates, or safety concerns while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record, and 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, and DOT compliance requirements for international transport.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently to optimize routes for efficiency on OTR routes.
