What You'll Do
Lead the Home
Take overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day operation of the residence.
Maintain a consistent leadership presence and ensure expectations are followed across all shifts.
Know the youth, their routines, personalities, strengths, behavioral needs, appointments, school expectations, and goals.
Identify and address concerns before they escalate.
Ensure the home is clean, organized, safe, adequately supplied, and appropriately maintained.
Maintain compliance with Avidity policies, DCF requirements, contractual expectations, and quality standards.
Be a Consistent Leader for Youth
Develop professional, trusting relationships with each youth.
Be actively involved in the daily life of the home.
Reinforce expectations, routines, responsibilities, and appropriate boundaries.
Help youth develop accountability, problem-solving, communication, emotional regulation, and independent living skills.
Celebrate accomplishments while providing appropriate structure and consequences.
Participate in treatment, school, care-team, transition, and discharge-planning meetings as needed.
Lead and Develop Staff
Provide clear expectations, supervision, coaching, and accountability to Direct Care Staff.
Observe staff performance and address concerns promptly.
Monitor attendance, call-outs, scheduling, and overtime.
Promote consistency between day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Ensure staff maintain appropriate professional boundaries and utilize approved behavioral and de-escalation practices.
Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, and evaluating residential staff.
24/7 Leadership Accountability
Residential care operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. While the Home Manager is not expected to physically work or remain continuously available 24/7, this position carries overall leadership accountability for the home.
The Home Manager must maintain awareness of significant incidents, be reasonably available for urgent consultation, follow up on overnight and weekend concerns, and participate in Avidity's established leadership/on-call structure.
This position requires flexibility beyond a traditional Monday-Friday schedule, including periodic evening, weekend, and after-hours involvement.

Previous Group Home Manager, Residential Manager, Program Manager, House Manager, or Residential Supervisor experience.
Experience with Florida's child welfare system, DCF requirements, or youth in foster care.
Knowledge of trauma-responsive care and behavioral de-escalation.

The Leader We're Looking For
You'll be successful here if you naturally walk into the home thinking:
Are the kids okay? Is my team doing what they need to do? Is the house running the way it should? What needs my attention and what am I going to do about it?
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, notices problems, makes decisions, develops staff, and genuinely cares about the youth entrusted to us.
You should be able to lead with both care and accountability, nurturing enough to build meaningful relationships with youth and strong enough to provide the consistency, boundaries, and leadership they need.
If you are an experienced residential leader who wants to do more than manage a schedule, you want to build a stable home and positively influence the lives of young people. we'd like to hear from you.
