JANITOR
Compensation: $17.20/hr + $4.57/hr Health & Welfare

A Federal Contractor is seeking Janitors/Custodians to provide cleaning services at the San Diego Federal Building, Downtown San Diego, CA.
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Spot cleaning and dusting
- Trash removal to designated areas
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and dispensers
- Window washing (no ladder use required)
- General policing of assigned areas
- Floor care (stripping, finishing, scrubbing, recoating, carpet extraction) – experience preferred
Typical Work Areas:
- Offices and cubicles
- Public and private restrooms
- Controlled/secured areas
- Hallways, lobbies, and entryways
- Cafeterias/eating areas
- Elevators and stairwells
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of janitorial experience
- Must be able to pass a Federal background check
- Must present a valid government-issued photo ID for federal clearance
- Ability to work overtime with little notice and on alternate shifts
- Physically able to:
- Stand and walk constantly
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Push, pull, stoop, and bend regularly
- Vacuum for extended periods (5–8 hours depending on assignment)
