Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials including sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.
- Inspect completed work for adherence to ASME codes and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- set up and operate press brake to bend 1 off jobs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely when necessary to move materials or equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, on Aluminum. low carbon teel and Stainless steel
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
- 5+ years experience welding, fitting or fabricating
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to welding tasks.
- Experience with plasma cutting, soldering, machining, and assembly processes is preferred.
- Experience with bending and shape cutting preffered
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to welding
