Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to oversee the administrative, operational, and strategic functions of Women’s & Newborn Services across multiple hospital campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Women’s & Newborn Services.
- Oversee Labor & Delivery, Mom/Baby, Newborn Nursery, Lactation, NICU, Neonatal Transport, and OB Emergency Services.
- Manage staffing, quality, safety, patient experience, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial resources.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using quality metrics and outcomes data.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and other departments to improve care coordination.
- Identify opportunities for service-line growth and develop new programs.
- Lead and mentor department leaders while promoting employee engagement.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and patient- and family-centered care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (MSN or related field) – Required
- Current Iowa RN license – Required
- BLS certification
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience at or above the manager level in NICU and/or Obstetrics – Required
- Proven experience improving clinical and operational outcomes.
- Valid driver’s license required for work-related driving.
